Manufactured and produced by the Austrian Mint. Featuring various instruments representing the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra. Introduced in 1989 and minted by the Austrian Mint. The Austrian Philharmonic is named after the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra which inspires the design shown on both sides of the coin. 

Austria is extremely proud of their historic and ongoing musical tradition, and have chosen to honour their musical greats (which include such familiar names as Schubert, Beethoven and Mozart) as well as the modern Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
